Can the beds be used as seperates (both on the ground) if you did not want to use them as bunks
Question by: Muriel murphy on 4 Nov 2014, 10:46
Yes, the Neptune Triple sleeper can be used as 2 separate beds. Thank you.

Can double check is this bunk able to split into separate beds and also is the 150cm dimension out to the outside of the ladder?
Question by: Fiona in Meath on 18 Nov 2014, 11:15
Hi Fiona, Thanks for getting in touch. The measurement is exactly 150cm from the outside of the bunk to the outside of the foot of the ladder.
I spoke to the factory and the bunk CAN be split into two separate beds, but the bottom bed and top bed are joined with dowels and the holes where the dowel is inserted into the bottom bed will be visible causing a minor blemish when the beds are separated. This hole could be filled after separation of the beds, may be cut the dowel in half and then touch up with a little white paint, or fill the hole with putty, but this would be at your own risk and would negate the warranty on the bed also.
I am guessing that you would only be separating the beds a few years down the line and as the warranty is only for one year that is probably not an issue.
I would remind you the bottom bed is a 4ft mattress not a standard 4'6" Double so be careful when ordering the new mattress.
As general info the bed is solid white in colour and has thick wooden slats that hold the mattress. The ladder is removable and is held on with hooks to the top bunk bed and rests on the side of the bottom bunk and on to the floor. The ladder has nice flat wooden steps and this is great for kids climbing up as it is much easier on their feet than some of the cheaper alternatives where the steps are thin wood on its edge, little sharp for those tiny feet before bed.
Any more queries please pop us a question above or use the live help below.
Regards. Eunan.
